Stochastic, RSI, MACD: do you use more than one oscillator?

fxtrader1 · Oct 30, 2026 11:02
Many charts end up with a stochastic, an RSI and a MACD stacked underneath price. All three are calculated from the same closing prices, so they often say the same thing in different clothes.

Questions for discussion:
1. How many oscillators do you actually keep on your chart, and why those?
2. Do you use them to find entries, to judge trend vs range, or just for divergence?
3. Have you ever tested whether adding a second oscillator changed your results, or did it just raise your confidence?
4. What do you do when an oscillator sits at an extreme for weeks in a strong trend?
