A common piece of advice is to deposit a small amount, make a few trades and then withdraw it, before putting real size on a platform. It tests how long payouts take, what fees apply and what documents the broker asks for.
Some questions for the thread:
- Do you run a test withdrawal with every new broker, and how much do you use?
- How long did it take, and was there anything you did not expect (fees, minimums, forced return to the original funding method)?
- Which account terms do you now read before depositing: negative balance policy, bonus conditions, inactivity fees?
- Do you withdraw profits on a schedule, or let them build up on the platform?
Please keep it to your own process and checklist. No broker promotion or referral links. Our write-up is here: /blog/forex-account-security-and-withdrawal-checklist
Have you ever tested a withdrawal before funding an account properly?
