Clocks change next week (EU Oct 25, US/Canada Nov 1): what does your session schedule look like?

Twice a year Europe and North America change their clocks on different weekends. This autumn the UK and EU fall back on Sunday, October 25, and the US and Canada follow on Sunday, November 1. For that one week the London/New York gap is an hour shorter than usual, so the overlap and the timing of US releases relative to the European session both shift.

A few questions to get the discussion going:

1. Which session do you actually trade, and why? Is it the market (liquidity, spreads, your pairs) or your life (job, family, time zone)?

2. Have you ever measured average hourly ranges on your main pair? Did the shape surprise you?

3. Do you avoid the late New York / Sydney open stretch because of wider spreads, or do you trade it?

4. How do you handle the clock change? Written schedule, calendar alerts, or just your calendar site set to your local time zone?

5. For the Canadians here: do you plan your day around the 8:30 a.m. Eastern data window, or around the London open?
